As part of Kekec Days 2024 in Kranjska Gora (June 25–30), the Julijana Agency, in cooperation with Enigmarium® – creators of popular escape room games and gamified experiences – is premiering a new outdoor “escape room” game, The Elixir Mission (from June 26). In addition to beautiful, unspoilt nature and the fairytale land of Kekec, adrenaline challenges and shrills of excitement await you!

The Land of Kekec and its heroes – Kekec, Mojca, Aunt Pehta, Bedanc, Brincelj and, of course, Kekec’s goats – attract many school and kindergarten groups every year. This new adventure now invites adults – groups, couples and families – and has the potential to become a new tourist attraction since innovative and exciting escape games are attracting more and more visitors from all over the world.

Kekec is an important part of Slovenian cultural heritage, which is why the Julijana Agency has been bringing the story to life in authentic and innovative ways since 1991. In cooperation with Enigmarium, the creator of multiple award-winning gamified experiences, today they present a new challenge: The Elixir Mission, in which you will play the main role!

The game’s thrilling story is about a dark force that has captured the last corner of pristine nature and poisons everything in its path. People are becoming materialistic, greedy and egotistical. Bedanc is also becoming increasingly evil and wants to possess the precious recipe for the Elixir of Enlightenment that can save the land. Aunt Pehta tries to hide it from Bedanc and asks Kekec for help. But Kekec has disappeared – all that is left is his bag of notes and supplies for you brave heroes.

Your mission is to find the ingredients for the Elixir! Bedanc is on your heels, and you only have an hour to find and decipher the recipe – or the dark force will cover the entire planet. Gather your courage, follow Kekec’s clues and solve the puzzles before it’s too late!

FEATURES OF THE GAME

A riveting “escape room” outdoor game distinguished by its unspoilt nature, attractive story and original puzzles awaits you in Kranjska Gora. The game is designed just like a real escape room, except it has no walls, no electricity and your gamemaster will also be playing a role.

Reservations and Schedule

You can book the game Mission Elixir by Enigmarium® at least 24 hours in advance through the Julijana Agency website (julijana.info), under the Kekčeva dežela tab, by phone at 051 623 701, or via email at julijanaturizem@gmail.com. The game is best played in a team of two to four players. The team collects tickets and equipment before the game starts at the Julijana Agency (transportation can also be arranged upon request). In case of bad weather, the appointment can be canceled and rescheduled for another day, which must be arranged at least four hours before the scheduled time.

Price and the language

The price for a 90-minute game for a team (2-4 players) is €100. Up to 6 players can participate in the team with an additional fee of +€25 per extra player. The game lasts approximately one and a half hours, with an easy circular route that is less than two kilometers long. Due to the terrain specifics, the game is unfortunately not accessible for players with mobility impairments.

Good to know

Since the game takes place primarily in nature (mountain meadows and forests), you play at your own risk. Therefore, organizers recommend appropriate footwear and clothing, and on hot days, also a water bottle. They also ask that if players encounter goats or cows, they should not feed or disturb them (dogs unfortunately are not allowed to enter).
