Escape Room Enigmarium® is celebrating its first birthday!  We’ve had a downright incredible year!

We created NINE escape rooms in three different countries, invented the first and only Escape Igloo® which won the Snovalec 2015 Award – but most importantly: we made 12.500 players happy! Thank you, dear players, and thank you, Enigmarium team!

Instead of birthday cake, we are celebrating opening two  new rooms! The Cray Funny Artists Gallery in Trieste, Italy, and  Dr. HANNIBAL’s room in Maribor – a new innovation, a step ahead – the 4th generation room, completely immersed in the town’s history. Will you dare to enter the dark middle ages?

Let’s take a look back to one year ago:

After opening our first room last fall, none of us could have imagined that just a few months later, Enigmarium® would already be ranked the most popular activity in Ljubljana on TripAdvisor.  In November, we opened our second and third third rooms, in February, we unveiled the world’s first Escape Igloo®, which also later received the Snovalec 2015 Award.  We spent the spring preparing new rooms in Trieste and Pula. We opened those rooms in the summer and also moved the Escape Igloo® temporarily to the basement of Trdinova ulica 8 in Ljubljana, where it even snows.

That means that we now have 4 rooms in Ljubljana, an ideal option for TEAM BUILDING events! Also ideal are our gift certificates for birthdays, New Year’s or any other celebratory occasion. You can’t go wrong!

And since we’re the ones celebrating now, we wish to present to you, our dear fans and players, OUR TWO NEWEST ROOMS!

  • THE ARTIST’S STUDIO IN TRIESTE
    In Trieste you’ll discover the fresh, original and perfect-to-the-very-last detail studio of a world-class artist. But: what was it that happened on his path to fame that made him lose his inspiration? Can you help him find it again? You only have an hour – of course – to reset his artistic pulse and enhance the entire world once again with his artworks!
  • ESCAPE ROOM:  PLAGUE DOCTOR HANNIBAL IN MARIBOR  
    To take a step back into the past, Escape Room Enigmarium® has taken a step forward, putting us a step ahead of other escape rooms who are following the concept. Welcome to the 17th century! During the renovation of the premises on Vetrinjska street we found a time machine, which tranfers us back to the middle ages. Dr. Hannibal Bottioni form Venice was the only doctor, who was brave enough to come to Maribor and cure the Plague. He knew the secret recipe for the cure, which kept him healthy. Can you find his secret and escape before you’ll get sick? You have only one hour to escape!  

GAMIFICATION and even more advanced rooms

We’re aware of the increasing importance of “gamification” and “storytelling” in tourism – today’s visitors no longer want to be merely in the role of a passive spectator, instead, they wish for more (inter)active and personalised experiences – in which they, of course, enjoy themselves to the fullest.

That’s why we’re the innovators of a completely new generation of rooms and an even more absorbing gaming experience: the story as well as the riddles and puzzles are integrated with the city’s history. And not only is it totally fun, a historical setting complete with entertaining tests of skill and knowledge linked to the medieval era are awaiting you (behind which stand, of course, our own high-tech trademark gadgets, developed by our very own and truly talented Escape Lab).

The distinguishing advantage of Escape Room Enigmarium® is precisely in that we are always one step ahead of the rest and we are constantly innovating and developing new and groundbreaking concepts.

The right dosage of difficulty, mystery and variety of puzzles and tasks that allow each team member to contribute and, of course, surprises, hints and a perfected dramaturgy all help lead our players to that “Eureka!” moment. Our players always leave our rooms terribly excited and wanting to play another room!  They share their excitement with their friends and acquaintances and in doing so become our ambassadors! – the branch of “escape rooms” has become the fastest-growing sector in tourism, and Escape Room Enigmarium® has become a leader in the field across our wider region!

ONE YEAR  – NINE ESCAPE ROOMS – THREE COUNTRIES

4 great rooms in Ljubljana, 2 rooms in Trieste, Italy, an Igloo in the winter months in Kranjska Gora, 1 room in Maribor and 1 room in Pula, Croatia – all together 9 rooms – and that just in our first year!

In fact, we’ve only just gotten warmed up … Along with projects in development in Austria, Italy and Spain, we haven’t completely given up on our good witch in Bled, where, for the moment, our project has stalled because of complications with the infrastructure so thus we had to redirect our effords to Maribor. And the plan for our Escape Igloo® is – that our amazing snow adventure – will return this year to the ski slopes.  We’re hoping for lots of snow this winter! 🙂
